The World Education Fair Spring 2026 in Albania and Kosovo - Bridging ambition and opportunity in Tirana and Pristina
24 March 2026

Connecting global educators with the Balkans' fastest-growing student markets: 18% increase in registrations and a triumphant return to Kosovo.

The World Education Fair Spring 2026, organized by Integral, recently concluded its successful run across Albania and Kosovo. Held on February 21st at the Hotel Rogner in Tirana and on February 22nd at the Swiss Diamond Hotel in Pristina, these events provided a premium, five-star environment for international educators to connect with highly motivated students.

A strategic opportunity for international educators

The Spring 2026 fair proved to be a strategic touchpoint for global institutions looking to recruit from two of Europe's most dynamic student markets. With a combined presence of over 48 institutions from 14 countries, the event showcased a diverse range of academic pathways, including higher education, business schools, boarding schools, and summer camps.

A triumphant return to Kosovo

A major highlight of this season was the fair’s strategic return to Pristina after a 12-year absence. The decision to re-enter this market was driven by Kosovo's unique position as one of the most youthful education sectors in Europe, where over 70% of young people are enrolled in higher education. The overwhelming reception—with 268 registered visitors—confirmed a massive, untapped demand for international degrees and global learning.

Strong Growth and Targeted Demographics in Albania

The Tirana event continued its upward trajectory, seeing an 18% increase in registrations compared to Spring 2025. The visitor profile in Albania remains highly focused on higher education (79%), with significant interest in specific academic levels:

  • Bachelor’s degrees: 43.6% of visitors

  • Master’s degrees: 29.9% of visitors

  • Summer programs and language courses: 14% of visitors

Emerging trends in study destinations and programs

While Italy and Germany remain the primary destinations of interest, there is a clear and notable rise in demand for the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Spain.

In terms of academic focus, the top three most sought-after majors across both regions are:

  1. Computer Science

  2. Medicine

  3. Business and Economics

Furthermore, exhibitors in Art and Design, Legal Studies, and Tourism and Hospitality are seeing growing interest from local students.

Unmatched marketing reach

Participating institutions benefited from an extensive, cross-media marketing campaign that ensured maximum visibility across the region:

  • Social Media Impact: Over 2.7 million impressions across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

  • Digital Presence: Web banners featured on 32 major news portals and online magazines, including Business Magazine Albania

  • Direct Engagement: Collaborations with the Albanian National Youth Network (ANYN) and student portals like Studentet Denoncojne and Universiteti.info.
